The patients and health care team at Harcourt Medical Centre wholeheartedly endorse the provision of play park facilities for children in Elizabeth Gardens.
Salisbury City Council has acknowledged our concern that the Elizabeth Gardens play park immediately next to the six consulting rooms of doctors, nurses, psychologists and midwives and their patients is causing a problem.
Salisbury City Council is aware that the noise of naturally boisterous teenagers and children is causing disturbance to a significant number of the 500 plus consultations that take place in these rooms each week. The consultations for sick children, cancer patients, the bereaved and distressed are affected.
Salisbury City Council did not need planning approval to move the play park but they did grant planning permission for the Medical Centre in 1986.
We petition Salisbury City Council to move the play park to a more suitable position within Elizabeth Gardens
